About Vita Group

When it comes to mobile top-ups and data solutions, DT One has been leading the market for decades. Right now, their aim is to deliver high-end digital communication services to over 5 billion people in emerging economies. To realize this aim, they are leaving no stone unturned in exploring the latest technological developments.

This aim recently inspired a major transformation in the way they undertake their routine financial administrative tasks. Back in the day, financial admin was a tedious and largely manual exercise, but owing to their partnership with Mastek in establishing a sophisticated system of Oracle Fusion Financial Services, all their transactions are now executed digitally. This helps the 550 mobile operators across 160 countries DT One partners with, to deliver cutting edge communication services to their customers within a fraction of the time that it took before the implementation of this solution.

Adopting this new technology didn’t happen overnight. It was a well-planned and carefully executed strategy that transformed into a successful project which took nine months to bear fruition. From customizing high-end reports to standardizing critical output methods, the Mastek team undertook measures to integrate six enormous financial transactions and merge them into one single interface for the end-user.

DT One CFO Dan Gardner is a great proponent of digital transformation and has been instrumental in getting their processes cloud-enabled. Dan says:

“Every network operator we deal with on a day-to-day basis is connected through an API producing a huge stream of real-time transactions that’s run through our global network made possible by Cloud technologies”

Over the nine months of gestation from manual to cloud, Mastek carefully addressed each pain point presented by DT One and proposed a digital alternative.

All manual accounting was automated, so that DT One customers now have a digital currency and foreign exchange conversion solution at their fingertips. Another aspect of automation took place in SAGE – the first-generation finance tool that was incapable of scaling up to DT One’s ever-expanding business, it was replaced with high-end customized Aging reports that can be produced in seconds. The genius of the new reporting system is that users can directly create their own OTBI reports. After hands-on training, they are able to use the system without the help of a next level technical team.

Tracking numerous transactions, often running in millions, was a huge challenge for DT One. Mastek Oracle implementation simplified this process immensely. Today, 70 million transactions are easily tracked, categorised, reported aging-wise and accounted for easy consumption of the end customer.

The mindset of continually streamlining every aspect of their services is what helps DT One retain their market-leading position, and brings the most innovative solutions to their customers and end-users.
