Suresh Vaswani is a seasoned global technology and IT services leader with over 30 years of experience building, scaling, and transforming businesses in the technology sector. He has held senior leadership roles at Dell, Wipro, and IBM, and serves on the boards of publicly listed and private equity-backed companies.

He currently serves as an Independent Director at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Mastek, and Vodafone Idea. At ICICI Prudential Life, he chairs the Board Investment Committee and the IT Strategy Committee and serves on the Audit and Risk Management Committees. At Mastek, he chairs the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and serves on the Audit and Stakeholders Committees. At Vodafone Idea, he serves on the Nomination and Remuneration and Audit Committees.

Suresh partners with Everstone as a co-investor and lead operating partner for the tech sector, serving on the boards of portfolio companies Apexon and Mediamint, and has previously been on the boards of Omega, Servion, Acqueon, QMetry, and Innoveo through to their successful exits.

He is also Founder and Chairman of Alphatron Capital, a U.S.-based fund of funds focused on technology investments in India.

Suresh spent 26 years at Wipro, progressively building and leading some of the company’s largest global business units across applications, infrastructure services, and BPO. He was instrumental in incubating and scaling emerging IT services such as analytics, cloud, and enterprise applications, positioning Wipro as an early innovator in these spaces. His leadership helped establish transformational outsourcing deals, global delivery excellence, and strategic client relationships across North America, Europe, and Asia.

As Board Member and Co-CEO of Wipro’s IT Business during the 2008–2011 global financial crisis, Suresh steered the company through a challenging landscape, delivering industry-leading revenue and profit growth, doubling market capitalization, and executing strategic acquisitions.

Following Wipro, Suresh served as President of Dell Services and was a key member of Dell’s Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to Michael Dell. He led the successful turnaround of Dell’s multi-billion-dollar legacy services business, transforming it into a next-gen digital services business driven by innovation and technology excellence. He was the sponsor of its strategic sale to a global top 10 IT services provider.

At IBM, Suresh held senior leadership roles within Global Technology Services, leading solution delivery, transformation, and technology initiatives including automation, security, and compliance for the world’s largest IT infrastructure services business.

Suresh is a recognized thought leader and was a frequent contributor to global forums such as the World Economic Forum, NASSCOM Leadership Forum, Fortune 500 Forum, and the India Economic Summit.

He holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur.
